HI PARENTS! Children’s ministry is our heart and passion. Children’s ministry is not just about having fun, games, candy, prizes, songs, puppets although they are all part of children’s ministry. Children’s ministry is about the Kingdom of God. Children are an investment in the Kingdom of God. George Barna research has concluded, "What you believe by the time you are thirteen is what you will die believing." That is an amazing and frightening statement. This statement should challenge us to rethink the issue of priorities and realize that children’s ministry is very important. These kids are the church of today and the future leaders of tomorrow. Look around, you want to do something lasting in church then minister to a child. I have a print in my office with this written underneath, “One hundred years from now it will not matter what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had, nor what my clothes were like. But the world may be a little better because I was important in the life of a child.” Will you begin to pray for children’s ministry, will you look to yourself and make sure you are a good example and not a hindrance, and will you make an eternal investment and minister to children. The National Children’s Ministry Agency of the Assemblies of God’s theme this year is Building Champions. That, then is our goal: to raise up spiritual champions who will live for God the rest of their lives. To help ensure that we develop a sincere faith in the lives of children, here are three points to consider: 1.) Sincere faith is built 2.) Sincere faith is perceived; and 3.) Sincere faith is influenced.
